description: "Google promoted Chrome 157 (157.0.8103.38 on Linux, .38/.39 on Windows and Mac) to stable on Nov 3, with 213 security fixes. Seven are rated Critical: buffer overflows in Dawn (CVE-2026-121156, CVE-2026-121247), memory corruption in ANGLE (CVE-2026-121229), and use-after-free bugs in WebGL (CVE-2026-121246), Prerender (CVE-2026-121035), Geometry (CVE-2026-121203) and Core (CVE-2026-121126). Google's post doesn't say any are exploited in the wild. One Critical was reported by an Anthropic researcher with help from Claude."

### Chrome 157 reaches stable with 213 security fixes, including 7 rated Critical; no exploitation noted

- **Do:** make sure managed Chrome fleets reach 157.0.8103.38 or later. The update rolls out over days to weeks, so enforce it through policy instead of waiting for auto-update.
- **Chromium-based browsers** (Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi) and embedded Chromium builds need their own updates with these fixes.
- An early stable build of Chrome 158 started going out to a small share of Windows users on Nov 4.
