Chrome 155.0.8059.84/.85 fixes critical Prerender use-after-free CVE-2026-110922 and nine more bugs, two days after the last stable release
Google's Oct 15 Stable update (155.0.8059.84/.85 Windows and Mac, .84 Linux) fixes 10 security bugs, led by Critical CVE-2026-110922, a use-after-free in Prerender that lets a crafted HTML page run code inside the sandbox. The rest include High memory-corruption and use-after-free bugs in V8, DOM, Core and SVG; several were reported by Xinyang Ge, one of them credited to Anthropic with Claude's help. Google doesn't say any are exploited. Extended Stable moves to 152.0.7977.169 with the critical fixes too. Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi) will need their own updates.
