### Cydome, ClassNK, Bureau Veritas, MTS-ISAC and Rakuten Maritime launch Blue Initiative, a free database of vulnerabilities that can reach ships, ports and offshore systems

Blue Initiative, run by Cydome Security with the four partners, indexes IT and OT vulnerabilities it can tie to equipment used on vessels, in ports, on offshore facilities or in the shore systems fleets depend on. Its site currently lists **29,523 entries**, including 2,006 rated critical, 588 in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog and **37** in products built specifically for ships and ports.

Its about page says most entries are selected and classified automatically from CISA ICS advisories and the KEV catalog, with a smaller number written by hand with analyst notes. Users can filter by shipboard system, vendor or equipment and subscribe to alerts for new critical and high entries. The data is published under CC BY 4.0. **Why it matters:** national vulnerability databases have no maritime tags, so fleet operators have had to work out on their own which advisories touch their onboard systems.
